Overview:
Re-energise your mind and body with an invigorating weekend away in the idyllic Lake District. Hike some of England’s most beautiful hills with new friends and find balance and strength with daily Pilates.
Our Pilates teacher Anne Lee has a wide experience of hill walking and 12 years of instructing, she is able to use her knowledge and skill to prepare and mobilize for the hills. At the end of each day, sessions aim to calm, stretch and relax.
The hosts Eva and Josh, are both qualified Mountain Leaders. Josh an open water lifeguard and Eva a qualified firefighter, you’re in safe hands on the hills. Their extensive local knowledge and enthusiasm for great hikes are at the heart of this retreat, promising a blend of adventure and tranquility.
Location:
Your retreat is nestled in a peaceful Bunkbarn, located on the edge of Grizedale Forest. This serene location offers cozy communal spaces and 20 acres of surrounding woodland, making it the perfect base for your weekend of exploration and relaxation.
Itinerary:
Friday: Arrive at 4pm to unwind for the evening. Enjoy an optional Pilates session followed by a communal meal.
Saturday: Begin your adventure with an exhilarating hike through the Coniston Mountain range, where the landscapes promise to captivate and inspire. Morning and evening Pilates sessions available.
Sunday: Start the day with an Pilates energiser. Take a relaxing walk to one of the South Lakes’ hidden gems, a secret swim spot that promises peace and serenity.
An in-depth itinerary will be provided upon booking, ensuring you're fully prepared for the adventure ahead.
Accommodation & Meals:
Stay in comfortable shared dormitories, designed to ensure a restful night's sleep after a day of adventures.
All vegetarian meals and refreshments are included, with vegan and gluten-free options available, catering to all dietary needs.
Kit List:
A detailed kit list will be sent upon booking, but essentials include:
Hiking boots/shoes
Weather-appropriate clothing
Pilates/yoga attire
Personal toiletries and medications
Water bottle and rucksack
Sleeping bag/duvet (pillow, pillow case and undersheets provided)
Towel
We welcome all ages and abilities, hiking will be moderate and Pilates requires no prior experience.
